Sarah Snook's Thriller Leap: From Succession to Missing Child Nightmare

Sarah Snook, renowned for her role as Shiv Roy in 'Succession,' initially declined the opportunity to star in the Peacock series 'All Her Fault.' The prospect of filming in her native Australia, however, convinced her to consider the project. Snook was particularly attracted to the thriller genre and the show's intricate interpersonal relationships and plot twists, which differed significantly from her previous work.

Adapted from Andrea Mara's novel, 'All Her Fault' follows Snook as Marissa Irvine, a mother whose frantic search for her abducted son begins a nightmare scenario. The series, which also features Michael Peña and Jake Lacy, was filmed in Australia and became Peacock's most-watched original, achieving 46 million viewing hours within its first three weeks of release in November. Snook executive produced the eight-part series.

Snook found playing Marissa, a character she felt was closer to her own personality than Shiv, to be a challenging but rewarding experience. She noted that accessing the profound panic of a parent searching for a missing child was more readily available to her after becoming a mother herself. The actress also drew inspiration from her 'Succession' experience, admiring the collaborative and non-hierarchical environment fostered by the show's top creative minds.
