Sampaio adopted Kodi through The Labelle Foundation, a non-profit animal rescue, expressing gratitude for their help in finding such a cuddly and sweet pup. She noted that Kodi's personality strongly resembles Mongo's, bringing her joy and peace. While still grieving Mongo and holding onto hope for his return after he escaped her Los Angeles home in late April, Sampaio feels Kodi is helping her heal.
Her eldest dog, Luigi, a 15-year-old, resides with her family in Portugal. Sampaio's personal life also includes a relationship with Ray Nicholson, though they have not been seen together recently. Professionally, she is set to appear in the 2026 drama "Billy Knight."
