The third night of the six-day music concert at the Sankat Mochan temple premises showcased a convergence of India's celebrated music virtuosos and promising young artists. Senior performers shared their expertise through their renditions, offering valuable learning opportunities for the younger generation.
The evening commenced with a captivating vocal performance by Pt Ulhas Kashalkar, who presented Raag Bhupali and Raag Sahana in various talas. This was followed by a soulful flute recital by Vivek Sonar, who explored Raag Jog and concluded with a bhajan.
Playback singer Jaspinder Narula then graced the stage with her devotional renditions, singing a variety of bhajans dedicated to different deities. Renowned singer Kaushiki Chakravorty from Kolkata mesmerized the audience with her performance in Raag Abhogi, interspersed with popular thumris.
Pt Devashish Bhattacharya from Kolkata enchanted the listeners with his guitar recital in Raag Hanuman Kanhada, followed by a thumri in Pilu. Pt Mahesh Kale from Mumbai delivered a melodious performance featuring Raag Rageshri and Raag Param Sohini, concluding with a bhajan. The night culminated with a sarod recital by Pt Alok Lahiri and his son Abhishek Lahiri, who presented Raag Basant Mukhari, heralding the dawn.
