CCTV Captures Filmmaker's Fatal Fall

Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta, aged 59, died suddenly on the morning of October 31, 2026. Officials have confirmed the cause of death was an accidental fall at his Versova residence late on October 30, 2026. The Versova police registered the incident as an accidental death report (ADR) and are investigating the sequence of events.
CCTV footage from Gupta's home showed him in the drawing-room around 2:00 AM. He reportedly lost his balance while walking to the kitchen and fell against a wall, sustaining a head injury. His family members, including his wife Anuradha Lekhi and two children, were in their respective bedrooms and unaware of the incident until the morning.
Upon waking, Gupta's family found him deceased. He was rushed to a hospital but was pronounced dead. The family has informed the police they have no suspicions. A forensic team has also examined the scene. Gupta was known for crime thrillers and successful productions like 'Shootout at Lokhandwala' and 'Kaabil'. He is survived by his wife and children.
