27 May
Summary
- Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta questioned the federation's action.
- Federation's general secretary cited a past film crisis resolution.
- Ranveer Singh was seen at an airport and a temple in Karnataka.

Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta has openly questioned the Federation of Western India Cine Employees' (FWICE) stance on Ranveer Singh's departure from 'Don 3'. Gupta expressed his bewilderment by asking about the rationale behind the federation's actions.
Responding to Gupta, the FWICE General Secretary, Ashok Dubey, invoked a prior event concerning the film 'Mumbai Saga.' Dubey highlighted that the same film bodies had previously intervened to resolve issues when Jackie Shroff withdrew from that project. He questioned why similar objections were not raised then.
Dubey further clarified that the federation did not impose an outright ban on Ranveer Singh. Instead, a Non-Cooperation Declaration (NCD) was issued, which allows FWICE members the discretion to choose whether or not to collaborate with the actor. He cautioned that allowing such trends could financially harm filmmakers and producers.
Amidst the ongoing discussion, Ranveer Singh was observed at Mumbai airport, wearing a mask and avoiding paparazzi. He was later seen at the Chamundeshwari Temple in Karnataka, where he participated in prayers and interacted with priests. Videos of his visit, showing him in traditional attire, circulated online.
