In the two years since the tragic 2023 death of her longtime partner Bryan Randall, acclaimed actress Sandra Bullock has largely retreated from the public eye. The Oscar-winning star, who was once Hollywood's highest-paid actress, hasn't appeared in a film since the 2022 adventure comedy The Lost City.
Bullock, now 61, has been grappling with the loss of Randall, whom she described as the "love of her life." The couple had been together for eight years before Randall's passing at age 57 following a three-year battle with the degenerative condition amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
The death "hit her like a Mack truck," according to a source close to Bullock, who said the actress has been "trying to get through the hard times" in the aftermath. With her priorities now firmly focused on her two adopted children, Louis and Laila, Bullock is in no rush to return to the spotlight.
However, the source noted that Bullock is not "silently retired" and is considering a few projects, including a thriller that would reunite her with her Speed co-star Keanu Reeves. Bullock is also set to reprise her role in the sequel to the cult-favorite fantasy drama Practical Magic next September.
