- Tomorrow Studios aims to capture music's central role from original.
- One Piece success informs creative approach for Samurai Champloo.

Tomorrow Studios is actively developing a live-action adaptation of the acclaimed anime "Samurai Champloo." Original series creator Shinichirō Watanabe is involved in the creative process, a key lesson learned from the production of "Cowboy Bebop." Producers Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements aim to replicate the success of their Netflix hit "One Piece," which saw significant involvement from manga creator Eiichiro Oda.
The studio is committed to making music a central element of the "Samurai Champloo" adaptation, mirroring the original's influential hip-hop score. They plan to enlist a major recording artist early in development to define the show's sound. This approach emphasizes capturing the essence of beloved anime for modern viewers.
Following the substantial success of "One Piece" season one, which achieved global viewership records, the studio is also preparing for "One Piece" season two, currently in production. Additional upcoming projects include series orders for "So Far Gone" at Netflix and "Reversal of Fortune" for Apple TV+.
