In October 2025, British singer-songwriter Sampha has shared an outtake from the sessions for his 2023 album Lahai. The track, titled "Cumulus / Memory," was co-written with Romy of the band The xx, who also provides vocals on the song.
Sampha has revealed that "'Cumulus' was the first song I wrote for Lahai and the last one to be finished." He further added that "living with it for some time, I really feel like I wanted to share it with people."
Last year, Sampha released a deluxe version of his acclaimed album Lahai and collaborated with Romy on the single "I'm on Your Team." In the past few months, he has also made guest appearances on new albums by artists like Little Simz, John Glacier, and Richard Russell's Everything Is Recorded project.
