Samantha's Spiritual Baby Shower: Inside the Sacred Rituals

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently celebrated her impending motherhood with a deeply meaningful spiritual baby shower at the Isha Foundation. The ceremony focused on the Kalaa Aavarana ritual, which honors the divine feminine through the seven chakras of the expectant mother. This ritual involved sacred water, mantras, and specific practices designed to cleanse and energize these spiritual centers.

The ritual highlighted the profound reverence for the mother, viewing her as divine and the sacred creator of new life. Samantha emphasized how this perspective blessed both the unborn child and the woman embracing a new version of herself. She found immense power in understanding the spiritual invocations during the ceremony.

Accompanied by her husband, filmmaker Raj Nidimoru, Samantha participated in the chanting of the Devi Khadgamaala. This recitation symbolically moves inward, invoking protection and blessings for both mother and child, imprinting a sacred samskara even before birth. The couple, who officially announced their relationship with a yogic ceremony in December 2025, is expecting their first child in December of this year (2026).
