Sam Heughan, known for his role in Outlander, is lending his voice to a new three-episode immersive audio romance titled 'Three Days in Galloway.' The story centers on Callum MacKay, a groundskeeper at a Scottish estate, whose life is disrupted by the reappearance of Olivia, a former love from 15 years prior.
Heughan described the experience of narrating audio erotica as enjoyable and expressed his belief that listeners will appreciate the theme of second chances and the possibility of fighting for love, even after many years. Olivia, a British princess who once worked in Glasgow, returns to the estate for a friend's hen do, leading to a reunion with Callum.
As Callum and Olivia spend three days together, they confront their past relationship and the enduring nature of their feelings. The Quinn Original also features voice performances from Nicolette Chin, Sarah Whitehouse, and Quinn Creator 'The Scotsman.'
The first episode is scheduled for release on Friday, May 8th. A preview is available, offering a glimpse of Callum and his reunion with Olivia. Notably, the story includes a signature cocktail, 'Callum's Kiss,' named by Heughan himself, which will soon be available at his actual distillery in Galloway, Scotland, allowing listeners to experience a taste of the story.
Heughan drew parallels between his new character Callum and his iconic role as Jamie Fraser, noting both are passionate Scotsmen who fight for the ones they love. Caroline Spiegel, founder and CEO of Quinn, expressed excitement about bringing Heughan's leading-man energy to the audio format.
