- Ministry of Defence requested China be omitted from film.
- Salman Khan's Maatrubhumi is now fictionalized.

The upcoming film starring Salman Khan, initially announced as Battle Of Galwan and later renamed Maatrubhumi, is facing significant content modifications. The movie, inspired by the 2020 India-China conflict, has been reshot to comply with directives from the Ministry of Defence. A trusted source revealed that nearly 40% of the film was re-recorded to introduce a fictional narrative, incorporating romantic elements and character backstories.
The primary directive from the Ministry of Defence is the complete omission of any mention of China in the film. This crucial change has been communicated to the makers, and the latest version submitted for approval reportedly adheres to this requirement. However, the Ministry's apprehensions persist, leaving the film's release date uncertain.
Previously slated for a May 15 release, Maatrubhumi's debut in cinemas now seems unlikely due to the ongoing situation. Salman Khan is also reportedly set to begin shooting for Dil Raju's next project, co-starring Nayanthara, and has another superhero film in his pipeline.
