As the film's release approached and negativity began to surface, Salman Khan, who also co-produced 'Hero', opted to record the song himself. Mallik explained that Khan intended to absorb the criticism, stating, 'I should do something to take the negativity away and put the focus on me, not Sooraj and Athiya.' Khan chose to make it the end-credit track, introducing the film's leads while asserting his own 'hero' status.

Mallik detailed that the song was dubbed at eight different locations, including Himesh Reshammiya's studio, Yash Raj Studios, and even Khan's farmhouse and a film set.
