Veteran writer Salim Khan is reportedly recovering well after undergoing surgery at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital. The 90-year-old was hospitalized on February 17, having suffered a minimal brain hemorrhage. A surgical procedure was performed to stabilize his condition, and he is now considered out of danger.
Despite a medical bulletin being released by hospital authorities, the Khan family has expressed their strong preference for privacy concerning Salim Khan's health. They have conveyed to the hospital that they wish for any communication about his condition to come directly from them, if and when they decide to share updates.
Actor Daisy Shah, who maintains contact with the Khan family, stated that Salim Khan is stable and the surgery was successful. He is currently under observation. Meanwhile, notable figures like poet and lyricist Javed Akhtar, Khan's former collaborator on numerous 1970s and 1980s blockbusters, have visited him at the hospital.
Salim Khan is the father of actors Salman, Arbaaz, and Sohail Khan, and is married to Salma Khan and actress Helen. The family's request for privacy has led to no further updates being provided by hospital authorities.
