Ryan Gosling shared an inside look into the making of his upcoming movie, 'Project Hail Mary,' highlighting the unexpected involvement of his daughters, Esmeralda and Amada. The actor revealed that his children, whom he shares with Eva Mendes, helped him embody his character by voicing the alien, Rocky.
Gosling explained that his daughters would speak through an earpiece, allowing him to improvise dialogue and interact with the character as if Rocky were present. This unique method helped him genuinely react to the alien, sometimes with laughter or by being charmed by its presence. The film is set to release on March 20.
Beyond vocal contributions, Esmeralda and Amada also played a part in Gosling's on-screen appearance. They reportedly assisted with his character's academic-inspired wardrobe, offering input on accessories and helping him feel more comfortable in his role. While their contributions were integral to his performance, the official voice credit for Rocky in the film belongs to James Ortiz.
