Rush Extends 2026 Tour, Welcomes New Drummer Anika Nilles

Earlier this month, the iconic rock band Rush announced plans for a 2026 tour, titled the "Fifty Something Tour." However, the band has now doubled the length of the tour due to increased demand from fans.
According to the announcement, the expanded tour will stretch into the fall and early winter of 2026, with new dates in cities ranging from Detroit to Tampa, Florida. This will mark Rush's first tour since the passing of their longtime drummer, Neil Peart.
To fill Peart's role, Rush has enlisted the talents of German virtuoso drummer Anika Nilles. In a video message, bassist Geddy Lee expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome Nilles has received from the Rush fanbase. Lee and guitarist Alex Lifeson both shared their excitement to get back on stage and perform with Nilles, as well as revisit their extensive catalog of songs.
