The Royal Shakespeare Company has unveiled its 2026-27 season, featuring a notable debut by Tony Award-winner Jonathan Groff as Rosalind in an all-male staging of 'As You Like It.' Directed by Daniel Evans, the production will run from September 26 through November 7.
Harriet Walter is set to return to the RSC, reprising her role as Brutus in Phyllida Lloyd's 'Julius Caesar.' This all-female production, set in a women's prison, will embark on a tour to secondary schools across England from September 21 to October 23.
This school tour highlights the RSC's two decades of educational partnership work, reaching over 280 schools. The season also includes a two-part dramatization of George Eliot's 'Middlemarch' and Alexandre Dumas' 'The Three Musketeers.'
Additionally, the world premiere of 'Game of Thrones: The Mad King' is slated for summer 2026. The season's themes explore identity, transformation, freedom, and justice through classic stories reimagined by contemporary artists.
