A new historical drama, 'Royal Blood,' will delve into the tumultuous period of 1807-14, showcasing how Scandinavian royal houses navigated power, desire, and ambition. The series aims to reveal the intricate web of alliances and betrayals that defined the era.
Produced by Fremantle's Miso Film, 'Royal Blood' has secured a substantial €15 million budget and is set to commence production in early 2027. Erik Richter Strand, known for his work on 'The Crown,' will direct the premium mini-series.
The Scandi Alliance, comprising TV2 Norway, TV4 Sweden, and TV 2 Denmark, announced the production at the Göteborg Film Festival's TV Drama Vision conference. This collaboration marks a significant step in joint Nordic drama production.
