Stephen Jones Revives 1920s Glamour for Royal Ascot

Stephen Jones OBE, the renowned milliner behind many of Princess Diana's memorable hats, has unveiled a new collection for Royal Ascot 2026. The designs draw inspiration from the 1920s, a departure from the bolder styles of the 1980s. Jones's creation, named 'Favourite', features silver straw and grey taffeta with a dramatic bow.

This new line is part of Royal Ascot's 2026 Millinery Collective, a curated selection of 11 bespoke hats from esteemed British milliners. The collection aims to reimagine the theatrical glamour of the 1920s and 1930s, offering a blend of romantic modernity, floral motifs, sculptural silhouettes, and dramatic veiling.

Royal Ascot's Creative Director, Daniel Fletcher, curated the collective, emphasizing extraordinary craftsmanship and millinery's role as a dynamic art form. The initiative highlights a dialogue between tradition and innovation, reinforcing Royal Ascot's position at the forefront of raceday fashion and inspiring future occasionwear trends.
