Notably, the entire music video was filmed on Apple's newly released iPhone 18 Pro, highlighting the capabilities of the latest mobile technology.

In an interview, Rosé described "New Trick" as "possibly the cutest thing" she and songwriter Amy Allen have ever produced. The track features lyrics exploring emotional themes and love's ephemerality, set against visuals of Rosé embracing a vibrant, energetic lifestyle.
