Following the rejection, O'Donnell met with eight survivors, documenting their experiences. She expressed shock that no other famous person had stood beside them. O'Donnell intends to release these intimate stories, potentially as a full documentary on a streaming platform or through YouTube and her social media channels.

O'Donnell has previously expressed the importance of these stories, calling the epidemic of abuse vital to the human race. Her efforts are supported by Survivor Sisters, an advocacy group for women affected by Epstein's sex trafficking network. The specifics of why her "Kimmel" pitch was declined remain undisclosed, though it occurred amidst network tensions with the FCC.
