In late October 2025, Spanish singer Rosalía visited Mexico City as part of the worldwide listening parties for her highly anticipated fourth studio album, LUX. During her trip, Rosalía immersed herself in the local culinary scene, experiencing traditional Mexican dishes for the first time.
Rosalía shared her Mexican adventure with her millions of TikTok followers, documenting her first taste of pozole, a broth made with corn kernels, chicken or pork, and chili. She also enjoyed enfrijoladas, tortillas dipped in bean sauce and filled with shredded chicken. Videos of the surprised diners who spotted the singer at a popular pozole restaurant chain quickly went viral in Mexico.
Rosalía's night out in Mexico City didn't stop there. She also visited a Mexican cantina, where she and the members of the band Latin Mafia enjoyed drinks and watched drag performances. The Spanish superstar even received a special gift - a necklace with a pendant of the iconic Virgin of Guadalupe, the Patron Saint of Mexico and Latin America. The night culminated with Rosalía giving a tattoo to one of the Latin Mafia singers, featuring the title of her new album, LUX.
