Rooster Fighter: Anime's Craziest Hero Takes Flight!

The action-comedy series Rooster Fighter is set to debut on streaming platforms on Saturday, October 10, with all twelve episodes of its first season available simultaneously in the United States and select other regions. Originally premiering in Japan this spring under the title Niwatori Fighter, the show has quickly gained a reputation for its wildly unconventional and 'batshit insane' premise.

The series depicts a Japan under siege by monstrous demonic mutants known as Kiju, beings born from extreme human distress and trauma that threaten to push humanity to the brink of extinction. Their only apparent opposition is Keiji, an extraordinarily powerful and fearless rooster. Wielding razor-sharp spurs, Keiji travels across cities, relentlessly hunting demons in pursuit of The White Demon, the creature responsible for his sister Sara's death.

This adaptation utilizes 3D animation, a distinctive approach employed by Studio Sanzigen. Daisuke Suzuki directed the series, with Hiroshi Seko, known for his work on Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan, handling series composition. Kenta Miyake provides the voice for Keiji in the Japanese version, while Patrick Seitz takes on the role in the English dub. The source material is Shu Sakuratani's manga, which is published in English by VIZ Media.
