His songwriting prowess, evident in hits like "Always and Forever" and "The Groove Line," caught the attention of legendary producer Quincy Jones. Initially disbelieving, Temperton eventually traveled to Los Angeles to collaborate, contributing significantly to "Off the Wall" with songs like the title track and "Rock with You."
