It features intimate access to creator Richard O'Brien and explores the film's groundbreaking themes and lasting cultural impact.
Special event screenings are planned for April 24 in New York and May 1 in Los Angeles, both including Q&As with director O'Brien. The documentary will see a wider expansion on May 8. Magenta Light Studios CEO Bob Yari emphasized the film's significance in helping young people navigate identity issues, highlighting its profound impact on many lives.
Additionally, Magenta Light Studios has acquired the narrative feature "Creatures of the Night," penned by Mark Loughlin and Jill Mazursky. This film chronicles the 1975 Los Angeles origins of the midnight movie phenomenon, focusing on fans who transformed "Rocky Horror" into a sensation. Yari expressed strong belief in this script, which is currently seeking a director, and aims to replicate the success of their previously distributed film, "Strange Darling."
