The series will see Boreanaz step into the role originated by the late James Garner, who played the streetwise investigator from 1974 to 1980. The rebooted "Rockford Files" will feature newly paroled James Rockford, aiming to rebuild his life as a private investigator in Los Angeles. Boreanaz brings extensive television experience, having previously starred in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," its spin-off "Angel," and "Bones."
