A new 16,500 square metre facility in Seoul, South Korea, dubbed Galaxy Robot Park, has opened with the ambitious goal of entertaining audiences through robotics.
Featuring child-sized humanoid robots performing synchronized K-pop routines, the park aims to host daily concerts and potentially embark on a world tour by the end of 2026. Galaxy Corporation, the entertainment company behind the venture, also plans to host the world's first robot fashion show and launch a robot fashion label.
Beyond the stage, visitors can interact with robot valets, robotic dogs, and even a portrait-drawing robotic arm. The park also offers a boxing ring where visitors can control humanoid fighters via a mirroring system.
Industry analysts question whether robots can truly capture the essential emotional connection that fans have with K-pop artists. The success of Galaxy Robot Park may hinge on whether it offers genuine cultural innovation or merely a fleeting novelty.
