The initial project slated for production is "The Lies I Tell," a series adaptation of Julie Clark's 2022 bestselling novel. Ken Olin is attached to executive produce this thriller about a con artist and a journalist.
Greenblatt's previous tenure at NBCUniversal, spanning seven years, saw him overseeing all primetime, late-night, and scripted daytime programming, alongside various television divisions. He also continues as an executive producer for HBO's "The Gilded Age," a series he championed during his time at NBCU and later brought to HBO Max.
His return signifies a reunion with key figures like Pearlena Igbokwe, Chairman of Television Studios, NBC Entertainment & Peacock Scripted, with whom he has a long professional history. Greenblatt expressed his excitement about collaborating with his "old friends" at Universal Television.
