8 Oct
Summary
- Rausch confessed the game's emotional toll surprised him.
- He won $220,800 after a cutthroat gameplay strategy.
- Survivor host Jeff Probst questioned his suitability for the show.
Rob Rausch, a standout player from the recent season of The Traitors, shared exclusive insights into the emotional weight of his strategic gameplay. Initially embracing the deceitful nature of being a Traitor, Rausch found the prolonged deception taxing, developing genuine connections with other contestants.
His calculated moves, including betraying close allies like Eric Nam and Maura Higgins, ultimately secured him the win and a prize of $220,800. Rausch described the finale as brutal, marked by the visible distress of those he eliminated.
Interestingly, Rausch, who previously appeared on Love Island USA, has faced skepticism from Survivor host Jeff Probst regarding his potential to compete on that show. Probst suggested that Rausch's interest was casual and that more commitment would be required to join the Survivor cast.
Despite the Survivor snub, Rausch is celebrating his victory and looking forward to supporting his Love Island co-star JaNa Craig as she competes on the upcoming season of The Traitors, believing she possesses the skills to excel.
