1 Dec
Summary
- Reports detail cocaine use and all-night parties among cast and crew.
- Off-screen activities reportedly made the show's script appear tame.
- Filming for the second series took place in The Cotswolds.

Reports have surfaced detailing illegal activities occurring off-camera during the filming of Disney+'s popular series, Rivals. The 1980s-set drama, based on Jilly Cooper's novels, has reportedly seen cast and crew engage in wild, all-night parties and cocaine use in their trailers between scenes. These off-screen exploits are said to have made the show's scripted drama seem tame by comparison.
Filming for the second season took place in The Cotswolds, where cast and crew reportedly transformed The Hare & Hounds pub in Tetbury into a private club for nightly celebrations. Insiders described the atmosphere as raunchy and chaotic, with some individuals struggling to function on set the following day due to their late-night activities. It is not suggested that the main actors were involved in these incidents.
Despite the scandal, filming for the second series, which will feature 12 new episodes and the return of stars like David Tennant and Danny Dyer, is underway. The news comes as the show's creator, Jilly Cooper, passed away earlier this year, with the cast hoping the new season will serve as a fitting tribute to her.
