The latest installment of the Disney+ drama 'Rivals' delivered a shocking twist as Monica, wife to Tony Lord Baddingham, met a tragic end. Her affair with Declan O'Hara's husband was exposed by their own children, who had recently become romantically involved themselves. This revelation led to a tense confrontation.
Monica's husband, Tony, reacts with fury when she demands a divorce, accusing her of being "dead from the waist down." Meanwhile, a desperate search ensues when Monica and her daughter do not arrive at the O'Hara residence.
Tragically, Monica's car was struck by a fallen tree during a storm, resulting in her death. The news was delivered to a distraught Tony by Rupert Campbell-Black. However, some viewers refuse to accept Monica's death, speculating she may have orchestrated her escape with the help of Rupert to start a new life away from her tumultuous marriage, fueled by the fact that her body was not explicitly shown.
