In just over a week, on November 11-16, the American Film Market in Los Angeles will host the premiere of the animated family adventure "Halloween vs Day of the Dead." The film, a co-production between Studio 100 Intl. and Mexico's Lunch Films, follows the story of two rival towns, Halloween Ville and Day of the Dead Town, whose most important festivities are suddenly in jeopardy when the candies mysteriously vanish.
The fate of both villages rests in the hands of two children, Pumpkid and Bony Lu, who join forces with a quirky group of friends to save the holidays and reunite their communities. Written and directed by Celso García, the film celebrates the heart of Mexican culture, honoring the traditions of both Halloween and Día de los Muertos through an emotional and deeply rooted tale of friendship, unity, and hope.
