Actress Indraxi Kanjilal Quits 'Pushpa Impossible' After 4 Years, Citing Underutilization

In a surprising move, Indraxi Kanjilal, a rising star who had been a part of the popular show 'Pushpa Impossible' for nearly four years, has decided to depart from the series. The 21-year-old actress, who portrayed the character of Prarthana, shared that she felt her acting skills were not being utilized to their full potential, which ultimately prompted her to take this decision.

Kanjilal explained that although she was promised more storylines and opportunities, that never materialized. As an actress, she loves to perform, but being relegated to the background as a "mannequin" was not satisfying for her. Additionally, Kanjilal expressed dissatisfaction with her financial compensation, stating that her wages were not up to par and she was not paid the desired amount.

As the show was approaching a major leap, the cast was asked whether they wanted to continue. However, Kanjilal did not want to portray an older character, as she felt it would be too old for her current age of 21. The actress shared that while playing a 24-25-year-old was acceptable, she was not comfortable taking on a role of a 30-31-year-old, especially when she was not the lead.

Despite the risks of leaving a daily show, Kanjilal is now eager to explore new opportunities and meet her fans with a fresh start. She expressed gratitude for the experience and learning she gained from being a part of 'Pushpa Impossible' for over 1,000 episodes, acknowledging the guidance of the director and other mentors who helped her develop her craft.
