Ridley Scott Confirms New Alien Film, David Leads

Ridley Scott has officially confirmed that a sequel to his 2017 film, Alien: Covenant, is moving forward. The upcoming movie will reportedly focus on the character of David, portrayed by Michael Fassbender, who will create a new world for himself. Scott shared his intrigue with artificial intelligence, noting that rogue AIs can be as unpredictable as a bomb.

This new installment might connect narrative threads from both the Covenant sequel and the recently released Alien: Romulus. While Scott praised Noah Hawley's Alien: Earth TV series, his attention is also on legacy franchises like Blade Runner, with the upcoming Blade Runner 2099 series premiering on November 25. Scott is not directly involved creatively in the new Blade Runner project but holds an executive producer credit.
