Rida Tharana Wins Traitors 2, Mom Still Upset

Rida Tharana has emerged as the winner of The Traitors Season 2. However, her victory has not been universally celebrated within her family. Rida disclosed in an interview that her mother is still upset about her participation in the reality competition, having initially opposed her involvement.

Rida explained that she joined the show without her mother's knowledge. Her mother, a conservative Muslim woman, has found it challenging to accept Rida's independent life choices, including her solo travels and career decisions. The reality show further added to her concerns, with Rida recalling her mother's plea to avoid the show due to potential gossip.

Although Rida and her mother have spoken since the show concluded, the topic of The Traitors 2 has been deliberately avoided. Her mother has not acknowledged Rida's win, choosing to act as if the event did not occur. Rida, however, expressed understanding of her mother's feelings, acknowledging that it is a lot to process.

In contrast to her mother, Rida's father has been supportive of her win. Her younger brother, however, was reportedly disappointed that another contestant did not win. Rida's sisters and cousins, on the other hand, have shown immense pride in her achievement, with one cousin being particularly enthusiastic.

Rida also shared a personal revelation about her emotional moments on the show. As the eldest daughter, she was raised to be strong and rarely cries in front of others. The intense nature of The Traitors 2 pushed her to her emotional limits, leading to a breakdown that even surprised her close friends. These moments represented a rare instance where she allowed herself to be vulnerable.
