Richard Young, a photographer celebrated as the "king of the paparazzi," has amassed a portfolio featuring film, music, and cultural icons over the past fifty years. His career began with bold moves like gatecrashing Elizabeth Taylor's party for Richard Burton's 50th, later evolving to being invited to photograph her Damehood. He captured exclusive moments, including the first photographs of Paul Getty Jr. post-kidnapping.

Born in Hackney, Young's early life included running a hosiery stall with his father and overcoming dyslexia. After being expelled from school at fourteen, he found work in a Soho fashion shop frequented by cultural luminaries. A period in New York assisting at Electric Lady Studios preceded his return to London, where he was handed a camera and tasked with photographing authors.
