Ric Flair Clarifies Social Media Stir About Ex Wendy Barlow

Pro wrestling icon Ric Flair, 77, recently ignited widespread social media speculation with a post about his ex-partner, Wendy Barlow. Flair's initial message on X on August 9, 2026, suggested a potential reconciliation, stating it was "Only A Matter Of Time Until You Came Running Back!!" This led many to believe the couple, who split in September 2024 after 13 years together despite a 2018 wedding ceremony, were rekindling their romance.

Flair quickly addressed the ensuing confusion with a follow-up post on August 10, 2026. He clarified that he and Barlow are "not renewing a relationship" but rather a "34-year friendship." He explained that Barlow resides separately and is currently in Tampa to assist her parents, both in their 80s and experiencing declining health.

He further urged the public not to misinterpret the situation, highlighting Barlow's family's crucial support during his severe health crisis in 2017. Flair recalled being hospitalized with "multiple organ problems" for two years, during which Barlow and her family provided extensive care. He expressed gratitude for their past assistance and confirmed their amicable status.

In a recent interview, Flair's daughter, WWE star Charlotte Flair, commented on her father's well-being and social media activity. She noted that he is "living his life the way he wants to live it" and humorously mentioned that she had not needed to intervene regarding his social media posts recently, indicating he was "behaving."
