The horror reboot "Resident Evil" has continued its reign at the mainland China box office, holding the top position for three consecutive weekends. The domestic comedy "Mr. & Mrs. Pardon" secured third place with $2.6 million, reaching a total of $55.5 million. The war comedy-drama "Once Upon a Time in the Middle East" and the animated film "All Wishes Come True!" rounded out the top five, with the former having achieved a remarkable $355.5 million in its eleventh week.
The year-to-date box office for 2026 stands at $4.7 billion, which is 29.1% behind the same period in 2025, reflecting a challenging year for the Chinese film industry.
