Actor and activist Renu Desai has declared she will take legal action against online trolls who persist in targeting her with abuse. The harassment, particularly referencing her past with ex-husband Pawan Kalyan, has reportedly escalated since their 2012 divorce.

Desai announced her intention to pursue legal recourse in a recent social media video, stating that cyber police will be involved to arrest those responsible for profane or defamatory comments. She expressed distress over the disturbing nature of some messages received.

Her public appearance at a January press conference concerning street dog attacks reportedly led to a fresh wave of personal attacks. Desai clarified that while criticism of her work is acceptable, the continuous focus on her personal life, including details about alimony and past relationships, is unwarranted and will no longer be tolerated.

Renu Desai and Pawan Kalyan were married in 2009, and their divorce was finalized in 2012. They share two children. This personal history has frequently been the subject of online trolling directed at Desai.
