Renate Reinsve has been confirmed to portray Mary Wollstonecraft in Mia Hansen-Løve's ambitious period drama, "If Love Should Die." The film, a European co-production involving Ireland, France, Norway, Spain, and the UK, will focus on the significant final 12 years of the 18th-century writer and women's rights advocate's life.
Joining Reinsve are Johnny Flynn and Vicky Krieps in pivotal roles. "If Love Should Die" is set in England on the cusp of the French Revolution, following Wollstonecraft as she navigates the Enlightenment's ideals and establishes herself as a writer.
Hansen-Løve, known for "Bergman Island," directs this English-language feature. The production boasts a stellar cast and crew, including cinematographer Claire Mathon and editor Marion Monnier, with sales handled by Goodfellas for a TIFF launch.
