Broadway Couple's Love Story: Onstage and Off

Reeve Carney and Eva Noblezada, celebrated Broadway performers, have cultivated a relationship that transcends the stage.

Meeting in 2018 during the development of the musical 'Hadestown,' their connection quickly deepened. "We became best friends first," Carney stated, reflecting on their initial six-month friendship before their romantic relationship began seven years ago. Their bond proved genuine, dispelling notions of a "showmance."

Carney and Noblezada, both Tony Award-nominated, became engaged in March 2025 and later celebrated their union in a New Orleans ceremony last October. Their professional lives are deeply intertwined, having costarred extensively in "Hadestown" from its 2019 Broadway opening until 2023.

They have since shared the stage in "Cabaret" and "The Great Gatsby" on Broadway and the West End. Their current Broadway run in "The Great Gatsby" is set to conclude on Sunday, July 26.

Despite their busy schedules, the couple prioritizes their relationship. While a honeymoon is yet to materialize, they shared a small family vacation after their wedding. Noblezada notes that the demands of theater life, including vocal and physical strain, are more challenging than maintaining their relationship.

"We love working together. We're each other's best friends on top of being husband and wife," Noblezada shared. They find that their shared passion for acting, even during demanding two-show days, allows them to maintain a fresh dynamic, with each fully immersed in their craft when onstage.
