In October 2025, it was announced that Jennifer Coolidge (The White Lotus) and singer Nicole Scherzinger have joined the cast of Rebel Wilson's upcoming comedy "Girl Group." The film, which Wilson is writing, directing, producing, and starring in, is currently in production for Live Nation Studios and Future Artists Entertainment.
Scherzinger, fresh off her recent runs on the West End and Broadway of Sunset Boulevard, and two-time Emmy winner Coolidge will play undisclosed roles in the movie. The ensemble cast also includes Randall Park (WandaVision), Sheridan Smith (Mrs Biggs), Jamie Lee O'Donnell (Derry Girls), and comedian Guz Khan (Man Like Mobeen).
In the film, Wilson portrays a pop diva who has been kicked out of her own girl group's reunion tour and sentenced to court-ordered community service. She seizes this opportunity to stage a comeback by coaching a group of misfit teen girls for a major record label audition. The cast is rounded out by Jolene Blalock (Star Trek: Enterprise), as well as music stars Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts, Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm, and All Saints' Shaznay Lewis, who will play the girlband Girlfriends alongside Wilson's character. TikTok star Loren Gray will also feature in the film.
"Girl Group" is being produced by Wilson under her Camp Sugar banner, alongside Matt Williams of Future Artists Entertainment, and executive produced by Live Nation Studios. Choreographer Chris Scott (Wicked) is also on board the project.
