Despite the safari setback, Linn successfully proposed to McEntire on December 24, 2024. The proposal took place during a relaxed walk by a creek on her Tennessee ranch. McEntire recalled Linn asking, "Would you marry me? I want to cross the finish line with you," to which she happily accepted.
The country superstar expressed immense joy in her current relationship, stating she feels like a teenager again and is happier than ever at 70 years old. The couple, who met in 1991 and began dating in 2020, plan to make South Africa, a place they both adore, their honeymoon destination.
