28 Oct
Summary
- Sam, 28, diagnosed with "end-stage liver disease"
- Given 4-5 years to live without a liver transplant
- Previously hospitalized in Dec 2024 with kidney/liver failure

In a shocking revelation, Sam Vanderpump, the 28-year-old nephew of Vanderpump Rules star Lisa Vanderpump, has been diagnosed with "end-stage liver disease." Doctors have informed Sam that he has only 4-5 years to live unless he receives a crucial liver transplant.
Sam, who is a cast member on the UK reality show Made In Chelsea, made the heartbreaking announcement during a conversation with his co-star Ollie Locke on the show's latest episode. This comes after Sam was previously hospitalized in December 2024 due to kidney and liver failure caused by a genetic condition, which also led to a life-threatening case of sepsis.
Despite the grim prognosis, Sam remains hopeful. "The way I look at it, I'm healthy now. Hopefully I remain healthy all the way up until one day [when] they'll give me a call, and I'll go in for a surgery. And then I wake up and I'll be healthier," he told Ollie.
Sam's famous aunt Lisa, who made a cameo appearance on a recent episode of Made In Chelsea, expressed her support and love for her nephew. "This is great," she said upon learning that Sam and his fiancée Alice Yaxley are expecting their first child. "I couldn't be happier. I'm so happy for you."
