Prior to the diagnosis, Simpson was unaware that Luke was struggling academically, despite his high intelligence. "He's highly intelligent in certain areas, but he's in the 4th grade and I didn't know he could read? I mean, how sad is that?" she shared in a confessional interview.
In addition to dyslexia, Luke also suffers from anxiety, ADHD, OCD, and an eating disorder called avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). Simpson has been navigating Luke's complex health needs, seeking specialized care and enrolling him in a new school that can better support his learning.
As Simpson continues to advocate for her son, she is asking for understanding and support from her social media followers and the Bravo community. "Just remember l am learning and dealing with all of these issues in real time while filming," she wrote online.
