A special tribute event, "Don't Look, Ethel! A Salute to the Musical Genius of Ray Stevens," is scheduled for November 9 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. This event will celebrate the extensive career of the comedian, musician, and Country Music Hall of Famer. A notable lineup of performers and guests from the music and entertainment industry are slated to appear.
The evening will feature performances by artists such as Ricky Skaggs, Ronnie Milsap, Gretchen Wilson, and The Gatlin Brothers. Comedian Cledus T. Judd will host and perform. Special appearances are expected from Country Music Hall of Famer Randy Travis and remarks from Nancy Jones, widow of George Jones. WWE personalities Jerry "The King" Lawler and Mickie James will also participate.
Ray Stevens, known for novelty hits like "Guitarzan" and "The Streak," has a career spanning decades, including studio work with Elvis Presley and songwriting for Dolly Parton. His Grammy-winning song "Everything Is Beautiful" showcased his songwriting prowess. Stevens also expanded into business ventures, including his theatre in Branson, Missouri, and television shows.
Tickets for the event go on presale on August 19 at 10 a.m. CT through August 20 at 10 p.m. CT using the code RAY26. Public ticket sales will commence on August 21 at 10 a.m. CT.
