Ravi Valecha, known as Master Ravi, rose to prominence as one of India's earliest and highest-paid child stars. His acting career commenced at four years old after a notable interaction with Shashi Kapoor, leading to a 14-year tenure in over 300 films across nine languages. During the 1980s, he earned approximately Rs 3,000-3,500 daily, equivalent to a significant sum today.
Despite his early success and a proposal from Manmohan Desai to launch him as a leading man, Valecha chose a different path after turning 18. He pursued his interest in culinary arts, graduating from IIH Mumbai and working as a professional chef with the Taj. He gained extensive experience in the hospitality industry.
Currently, Ravi Valecha heads the administration department at a leading company. He is also actively working towards establishing a film institute to offer affordable acting education. Additionally, Valecha is pursuing a long-held dream of learning to fly, having applied to the Bombay Flying Club for hobby flying lessons.
Valecha has also spoken candidly about the darker aspects of his childhood, including experiencing abuse. He recently began therapy to address anger management issues stemming from these early experiences.
