'Irumudi': Ravi Teja Tackles Serious Drama, No Ram Charan Cameo

Speculation surrounding a potential cameo by Mega Power Star Ram Charan in Ravi Teja's forthcoming film, 'Irumudi,' has been definitively put to rest. Reports confirmed by Ram Charan's team state that the actor will not be appearing in the film, dispelling earlier fan excitement. The movie, Ravi Teja's 77th, is helmed by director Shiva Nirvana.

'Irumudi' is poised to be a departure from Nirvana's lighter films, delving into a serious and intense family drama set against a rural crime and spiritual backdrop. Ravi Teja embodies the role of an auto driver and small business owner, a father with a drinking habit who deeply loves his daughter. The narrative follows his journey to regain his daughter's trust and safeguard his village from an impending threat.

The film's spiritual element is inspired by the director's contemplation of a flawed individual wearing the Ayyappa mala. Priya Bhavani Shankar stars as the female lead, supported by Baby Nakshathra, Sai Kumar, and Sunil. GV Prakash Kumar has composed the music for 'Irumudi,' which is slated for release on August 21.

Meanwhile, Ram Charan's recent appearance in the super hit sports action drama 'Peddi' has been well-received. He is scheduled to collaborate with director Lokesh Kanagaraj for a future project tentatively titled 'AA23.'
