A surprise drizzle did little to dampen the spirits at the Lil Flea held at JLN Stadium, where Rashmeet Kaur engaged the Delhi audience with energetic bhangra tunes late on Saturday. The music festival offered a diverse mix of culinary delights, specialty coffee, matcha, and various activities.
Kaur expressed her special connection to performing in Delhi, her hometown, stating, "It is always special performing in Delhi for my homies." She transitioned seamlessly between soulful melodies and upbeat tracks, including a cover of Rabbi Shergill's 'Tere Bin' and her own song 'Haye Ri Duniya.'
During her performance, as rain began to fall, Kaur encouraged the crowd to embrace the moment, declaring, "Barish ho rahi hai? Toh kya hua, pighal thodi jaoge. Rain dance hoga aaj." She continued with popular tracks like 'Jugni Ji' and 'Dhol Jageeron Da.'
Discussing her latest album, 'Parinda,' Kaur shared that it chronicles her journey of falling in love with someone and subsequently rediscovering self-love. The album's creation followed a period of heartbreak. As the 10 pm cutoff for loud music approached, her microphone was switched off, leading to an unplanned unplugged performance of 'Jogi Naal' with the audience joining in.
