1 Aug
Summary
- Rapper Uzi released their first project in two years on their 31st birthday.
- A Lollapalooza performance was canceled due to 'Uzi Bird' travel issues.
- The new EP is titled 'Almost Forever' and features eight tracks.
Rapper Uzi celebrated their 31st birthday on August 1, 2026, with the release of "Almost Forever," their first new project in two years. This eight-track EP includes artwork depicting a young Uzi with their grandmother, marking a significant personal milestone.
The release date holds special significance, as ten years prior, on July 31, 2016, Uzi dropped "The Perfect LUV Tape." That project debuted at No. 55 on the Billboard 200 and has since achieved RIAA gold certification.
Fans were eager for new music, especially after Uzi teased material on July 14 via Instagram Stories. However, a highly anticipated performance at Lollapalooza in Chicago on August 1, 2026, was abruptly canceled.
An announcement at Grant Park stated, "Due to the travel complications of the Uzi Bird, we will not be performing tonight." This news disappointed fans who were expecting the set ahead of Friday night headliner Charli XCX.
