Ranveer Singh Ditches Don 3 for Zombie Thriller

Ranveer Singh is reportedly stepping away from the highly anticipated 'Don 3', directed by Farhan Akhtar. This decision comes in the wake of his recent film 'Dhurandhar' achieving significant box office success, nearing Rs 600 crore nett. Singh is keen on exploring diverse cinematic roles and directors, including Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Lokesh Kanagaraj, and wishes to avoid consecutive gangster films given 'Dhurandhar's genre.

As a result, Singh is prioritizing 'Pralay', a zombie-themed project tentatively titled, which is backed by Applause Entertainment. He is actively involved in expediting the production schedule for this film, aiming to bring it to floors sooner than initially planned. This strategic move reflects his commitment to genre diversification and working with acclaimed filmmakers.

While Singh shifts his focus, preparations for 'Don 3' are reportedly continuing, with Kriti Sanon already finalized as the female lead. The film is slated for a grand scale production, with plans for international filming.
